Bully Blocker™ School Programs engage student minds, bodies and emotions to learn about what bullying is, why bullying is a problem for every student in a school and how every student can help block bullies in the classroom, at recess and in the halls. Kevin Strauss uses a combination of folktales, historical stories, real life accounts, role-playing and small group activities to help students understand how bullying works and how to protect themselves and their classmates from its effects.

Small Group Presentations (residencies lasting 1-5 days)

A Bully Blocker Residency offers your school an introduction to bully prevention and reporting techniques with large group presentations (above) followed by classroom (or double classroom) small group presentations that reinforce specific approaches to dealing with bullies. Kevin tailors small group presentations to the needs of each school.

A residency includes up to four contact times per day. Schools can decide if they want to provide every classroom with a small group presentation or if they want to focus on a particular grade level. Contact Kevin for further details.

Residency presentations typically include partner, role-play and small group activities on topics like:

  • How to report bullying at school
  • How to walk away from a bully
  • How to help friends who are being bullied
  • How to talk (mentally or verbally) back to verbal or social bullies
